Debbie Bartlett is an award-winning environmental advocate, children’s author, and passionate community leader based in Suffolk, UK. Deeply inspired by the landmark Blue Planet series and its focus on the devastating impact of plastic pollution, Debbie took action by founding Litter-Free Felixstowe in 2018. What began as a small initiative quickly grew into a community movement of over 1,500 members, involving local schools, volunteers, and businesses in collective efforts to reduce litter and raise environmental awareness.

In recognition of her work, Debbie was honored with the prestigious Green Hero Award in the 2021 Suffolk’s Greenest County Awards. Her passion for the environment shines through in all her creative projects. She believes in the power of storytelling to inspire real-world change and empower young readers to become protectors of nature.

Debbie is the author of Just One Child: Starting a Plastic-Free and Litter-Free Journey and Just One World: Nature’s Lockdown Lessons, both designed to teach children about environmental responsibility in a relatable, hopeful, and engaging way. With Mother Nature’s Letter, she continues her mission to connect children with the natural world and help them discover that their actions truly matter.
